Super Important Words Set 1

Super Important Words Set 1 These are the first 25 High Frequency Words that are most often taught in Kindergarten but need to be mastered at the beginning of 1st grade. What are Super Important Words ? They are words that we read most often in printed materials more commonly known as High Frequency Words. Why do I call them Super Important Words ? I call them Super Important Words because then they are more “Kid Friendly”.   Parents can also remember Super Important Words more easily rather than saying High Frequency Words because of the connotation of the word “important.”  If something is “important,” then it is something that must be accomplished! The Most Important Person

     The parent is the most important person in the child's life.  Even before birth the foundation is created between the child and parent.  The parent teaches and trains the child until he/she goes school. Then something happens to the child that removes the parent from being the most important person in that child's life.   The parent all of the sudden becomes second in line of importance behind the teacher.  We must put the parent back at the top and believe that is where the parent needs to stay.      As a teacher, my primary goal has been and always will be to keep the parent first.  Through my work with parents at school and with Parents as Partners I have seen over and over when the parent is first, the child succeeds.      The purpose of this blog is to reach out to parents to empower them once again and put them first.  It is simple and works.
